Overview
Magnetic is hiring a skilled Software Engineer to join our development team. You’ll focus on building and maintaining the server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness for our CRM platform.
Key Responsibilities
Browser Automation with AI Agents that classify web pages, extract information, and navigate complex tax software
Reliable, flexible agent skills that solve real-world automation challenges—like searching across sources for missing information or making decisions based on document context.
Design robust prompting systems, fine-tune models, and build evaluation frameworks to ensure deterministic results from inherently probabilistic systems.
Build and optimize cloud infrastructure that scales to handle thousands of concurrent automation workflows across different carriers and document types.
Develop modules that seamlessly connect with client systems and third-party tools via both APIs and browser automation when APIs aren't available.
Work directly with in-house insurance professionals and early users to identify pain points, prototype solutions, and ship high-impact features.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Shipped products that leverage LLMs in production environments with real usage.
Loves to keep up to date with new models/benchmarks/LLM techniques
Foundational understanding of how transformers work, how to build strong eval pipelines
2+ years of experience with backend, data, and infra with strong proficiency in Python
Thrive in ambiguous environments, have high ownership and are not afraid to challenge the status quo
Hands-on experience with browser automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium and understand the nuances of reliable web automation. (nice to have)
Experience flexing into MLOps, ML research (nice to have)
